Ed Brzychcy C-Suite Network Advisor Since August 2017
Ed Brzychcy leads Blue Cord Management, a leadership development coaching and consulting firm in Salem, MA, and acts as a coach, mentor, and consultant for business leaders. He is a veteran of the U.S. Army where he served for 12 years, including 3 combat tours to Iraq. Ed served as an infantryman and was promoted to the rank of Staff-Sergeant before his retirement in 2011. After his service, he earned a B.S. Business Administration from Salem State University where he concentrated on entrepreneurship, small business management, and economics. Ed then earned his M.B.A. from Babson College in 2016.
Professionally, Ed now applies leadership lessons he developed through his military career into the business landscape. Here, he helps organizations develop their management teams to become more collaborative, innovative, and growth-orientated. Ed also remains passionate about veterans’ affairs and is a strong advocate towards transitioning veterans entering the workforce through starting their own entrepreneurial ventures.
Ed has been recognized for his achievements in both the military and academia, earning several army commendations and being inducted into honor societies including Delta Mu Delta and Beta Gamma Sigma. More recently he has helped mentor several new entrepreneurs and has passed out $45,000 in seed funding to seven startups over two pitch competitions in the Boston area.
Believing education to be critical to personal and professional development, Ed remains active at both of his alma maters by holding a position on the Board of Directors for the Salem State Alumni Association and providing coaching and mentorship to Babson undergraduates through the school’s Coaching for Leadership and Teamwork program. Ed also currently holds an Adjunct Professorship position at Endicott College in Beverly, MA where he teaches a leadership class and introductory class on business fundamentals.
